Skylab Fondue Festival: Winter, Wine, and Views of Copacabana

With the arrival of winter, Rio de Janeiro takes on a different rhythm. Temperatures become milder, evenings call for cozier experiences, and gastronomy becomes a great way to enjoy the city from a new perspective.

To celebrate the season, Skylab, the restaurant located on the 30th floor of Othon Palace Copacabana Rio, is launching its Fondue Festival, an experience designed to bring together classic winter flavors, selected wines, and one of the most remarkable views of Copacabana.

The festival begins on July 8 and takes place from Wednesday to Saturday, starting at 7:00 p.m., with the latest arrival time at 9:30 p.m. Created by Chef Rubens Gonçalo, the experience is ideal for those looking to enjoy a special evening in Rio, whether as a couple, with friends, or during a more intimate celebration.

Cheese Fondue with Selected Accompaniments

One of the highlights of the festival is the Cheese Fondue, prepared with a Moitié-Moitié blend and Swiss cheeses. The combination delivers a creamy texture, a distinctive flavor, and the cozy atmosphere associated with winter evenings.

To accompany it, the menu includes a complete selection of artisan breads, focaccia, filet mignon, rosemary baby potatoes, crunchy vegetables, traditional guava paste, and charcuterie.

The experience costs BRL 350 for two people and includes two glasses of wine.

For those who prefer a sweeter experience, the Chocolate Fondue is prepared with a blend of 70% Belgian chocolate and Bourbon vanilla.

The accompaniments include fresh strawberries, grapes, bananas, marshmallows, focaccia, selected cheeses, and Turkish apricots, creating a balanced combination of sweetness, texture, and sophistication.

The price is also BRL 350 for two people and includes two glasses of dessert wine or liqueur.
